About Us
Mike McEvoy Firewood has been serving the Avon community and surrounding Finger Lakes towns with firewood that actually burns the way it's supposed to. No green, no sap, no smoke-filled porch — just properly dried hardwood that gives you steady heat and a clean fire.
We split, stack, and deliver with care. Whether you're firing up a wood stove for the first time or you've had one for twenty years, we treat every cord like it's going into our own backyard.
Our Wood
Every piece is split to size and dried long enough to burn hot, clean, and efficiently.
Dense, slow-burning hardwood. Excellent for long overnight fires and steady heat output.
Sweet-smelling, high heat value. A reliable choice for anyone who wants a clean, consistent burn.
One of the hottest burning hardwoods available. Great for cold nights and heavy cooking.
Lights easily and burns bright. A favorite for kindling and quick, hot fires.
Easy to split, low spark, and burns well even when slightly green. A versatile all-around choice.
Can't decide? Grab a mixed bundle and enjoy a little bit of everything.

Why Choose Us
Our wood is dried to the right moisture content so it lights easily and burns efficiently — not wet, not green.
Don't haul it yourself. We bring your order right to your driveway — Avon and the surrounding areas.
Hardwood burns hotter and longer than softwood. Less creosote buildup, less cleaning, more warmth.
We source from Central New York forests. Local wood means fresher, drier, and better for our community.
"Mike showed up on time, loaded the wood right where we wanted it, and the burn quality is noticeably better than the place we used to buy from."
